Hi, Rodina, I enjoyed your post! Especially in how you related transmediation to how we teach a younger crowd and your experience in that. Siegel's writing on transmediation reminded me of one of our first readings regarding "play" and how it involves a more open approach to learning things. This seems especially true in preschool classrooms, so I'm sure there's lots of crossover between the elements of play and transmediation, especially with younger students who may not have a great grasp on language yet. It's a bit of a shame that we then start to become so verbocentric in our teaching styles as students get older, when it seems that play and transmediation could be helpful at all ages.
