Blog Post 9

For this week's blog post, I decided to write about the reading from Aimee Carillo Rowe.  She writes about politics of relation and states that the meaning of self is never individual, going on to say that it is a shifting set of relations that we move in and out of, often without reflection. I think this is really interesting to think about.  We are constantly developing what defines us and makes us us. Different experiences define us every day or at least affect how we act or view something. For example, if someone is raped, they are may view something differently about themselves, or the way they feel about rape in general. This could even be for someone that thought they couldn't do something, like yoga, where they think yoga is something that their body cant do but then find out that they can do it, they might realize that its easier than they thought, where their mind was changed, and have a different outlook on youga.
